We call it a gritcher at our house. (but then we are a little weird) I can't help wanting to see something through those beautiful holes even if it is just a pop of color. Lovely details in the metal.
I keep looking to the faint light line down the bottom. The dark holes look mysterious, and I like seeing the scratches on it as well. Something you wouldn't notice otherwise.
The holes are so dark, it almost looks as if they are lids. I love that very tight dof on top of them and at the same time would have enjoyed more clarity on that wide range of scratches as well. But I know you can't have both ;)
Wow, another very cool macro, and I love how the texture of the stainless stands out so well. Great composition.
ReplyDeleteCool! I love what you have done with this.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing how you both interpret the same objects! I love how those muted colors come through at high magnification.

ReplyDeleteAlmost looks like some sewer openings etc., I can't help but wish there was a smidge more space at the top.

ReplyDeleteCool abstract. To me, the holes look four fishes with their mouths wide open :O
