This one was tough. I have been really trying to just focus on the details in each day's object, but rice doesn't exactly have detail. It is one of the most boring subjects to photograph, smooth, white, semi translucent, boring, boring boring.
Well, you've made it interesting by highlighting the tonality of the rice in the macro...lights and, well, less-light, and nice job placing it on a colorful textured surface to accentuate the smoothness of each grain. I think you've done the best job you could in dealing with a boring subject.
I think you did a great job especially considering the subject matter. Using a textured background helps so how smooth they are and I love that you have been able to show the semi-transparency. Like Robert, I also had the funny idea that they looked like teeth! :-) Eury - Maggie
They look like verrry long perfect white teeth! I like the colour background - it was a good choice and I think because of it, it doesn't look a boring photo at all.

how small is that rice seeds good full view photo, but think that background looks little distracting
